Job Summary
A private research university is in need of a Telecommute Computer Science Online Instructor.
Candidates will be responsible for the following:
- Developing and teaching lessons within defined curriculum
- Interacting independently with students using distance education technologies, primarily Moodle, Adobe Connect, Skype and e-mail
- Monitoring student progress and assisting students in accomplishing established learning objectives
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- Hold a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college/university in computer science or related field
- Two years teaching or tutorial experience
- Thorough knowledge of one or more programming languages/technologies such as Java, Python, Logo, Scratch, Computer Security, JavaScript, HTML, XHTML, or CSS
- Experience working with students from diverse backgrounds
- Must have a computer with broadband Internet access
