Job Summary

A pet company is in need of a Telecommute Content and Communications Director.

Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:

  • Plan, draft, edit and publish fun, quirky, engaging, shareable and inspirational content
  • Develop and manage a team of in-house and freelance content editors, writers, graphic designers and social media specialists
  • Develop and enforce brand standards across all communication platforms

Required Skills:

  • Strong track record of success in creating digital content strategies for highly visible consumer brands
  • Candidates should have at least 7 years of editorial experience
  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in English, journalism, communications, or related field
  • 7+ years of editorial/communications work experience, with 2+ years in a leadership position
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented individual with exceptional writing and editing skills
  • Great communicator with effective presentation and leadership skills
