Job Summary
A provider of mortgage services is filling a position for a Telecommute Conventional Mortgage Underwriter.
Core Responsibilities Include:
- Analyzing moderately complex files according to internal underwriting standards, investor guidelines, and federal regulations
- Underwriting a variety of product and loan types with a higher aggregate credit exposure
- Compiling, analyzing, and documenting loan data and credit risk, borrower and property information
Skills and Requirements Include:
- Graduation from a 4-year college or university; or an equivalent combination of job experience and education
- 3+ years experience in mortgage underwriting
- Ability to underwrite loans at a national level and in all markets
- An FHA - Direct Endorsement (DE) designation
- Experience with Desktop Underwriter (DU) or comparable automated underwriting system
- Proven advanced analysis skills in the areas of credit, layered risk, and income
