Job Summary
A publishing company is in need of a Telecommute Copy Editor.
Core Responsibilities of this position include:
- Being a proponent for clear language, filtering out industry jargon
- Pushing back when a story premise doesn't make sense
Must meet the following requirements for consideration:
- Strong knowledge of grammar and AP style rules
- Five years of copy editing experience
- Ability to quickly edit breaking-news Web copy
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in the English language
- Ability to write compelling headlines for web, social and print platforms
- Ability to fact-check
