Job Summary

A nonprofit organization has an open position for a Telecommute Country Support Consultant.

Candidates will be responsible for the following:

• Supporting countries to identify and plan for technical support activities and multi-sectoral cooperation to formulate and implement NAP processes
• Identifying areas for resource mobilization, analyzing gaps in institutional capacity to initiate NAP process
• Suggesting tangible ways of addressing capacity gaps as well as locate strategic opportunities for follow-up

Qualifications Include:

• This position has possible travel
• Master degree or above in environment, economics, development, or a closely related field
• 7 years of relevant work experience
• Demonstrated knowledge of climate change adaptation and development
• Experience working with and delivering support to governments
• Sound understanding of climate change, sustainable human development, and environmental management issues adaptation, vulnerability and impact, and other related sustainable human development issues
