Job Summary

A computer data storage company is seeking a Remote Data Ingest - Big Data Enigneer.

Core Responsibilities Include:

• Driving the successful usage and adoption of Pivotal Big Data solutions
• Providing expert technical guidance on design, implementation, tuning, integration
• Scaling our products in the customers environment

Required Skills:

• Five plus years of experience in technology related work, including roles such as customer-facing consultant
• Three plus years of experience architecting and implementing Hadoop systems
• Hands-on experience doing data ingest from various structured and unstructured data-sources and deploying it into Hadoop and other distributed Big Data systems
• Experience on production systems and to build strongly reliable scripts to do this on heavy volumes of data
• Understanding of traditional DW/BI components
• BS in a technical discipline or a BA followed by at least five years of technical experience
