Job Summary
A company that operates as an online community needs applicants for an opening for a Telecommute Data Platform Software Engineer.
Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:
- Design, build and improve core data platform and pipelines
- Design, build and improve higher level tools and services to make the platform and data accessible to everyone
- Help scale our platform and pipelines to handle 100x scale
Must meet the following requirements for consideration:
- 2+ years experience building scalable, resilient backend systems
- World-class problem solving skills and comfortable with ambiguity
- Familiarity with large scale systems development in Java, Python or other similar languages
- Familiarity with Kafka or other messaging, queuing and stream processing concepts or systems
- Hold yourself and others to a high bar when working with production systems
- Possess excellent practical judgement
