Job Summary

A software company is in need of a Telecommute Data Processing Engineer in Virginia Beach.

Core Responsibilities of this position include:

  • Working to customer requirements for the import and export of data into various formats
  • Developing tools to automate this processing on a regular basis
  • Participating as a member of the application development team

Applicants must meet the following qualifications:

  • Travel to Arizona and Virginia Beach several times per year
  • 2-3 years of programming experience in Javascript (Node.js), Python or Go
  • Experience working with any of Elasticsearch, MongoDB or Hadoop
  • Experience working with either MySQL or PostgreSQL
  • Experience working with data in JSON, XML and CSV data formats
  • Comfort doing development work on the Linux platform
