Job Summary
An open source software development company is filling a position for a Telecommute Remote Database Administrator.
Must be able to:
- Troubleshoot and resolve customer issues related to DB systems availability and performance
- Develop relationships with customers, comprehend and fulfill their needs, and maintain their satisfaction
- Perform technical work that requires planning and scheduling
Position Requirements Include:
- Ability to travel to Raleigh, NC if there is a need for any onsite trainings and/or events at any time
- Ability to participate in the on-call rotation for operational issue escalation
- Experience administering MySQL server and Linux based systems
- Ability to use scripting language for automation
- Access to a reliable high-speed internet connection
- Excellent and strong written and spoken English for significant customer interaction and teamwork
