Job Summary

A software company is filling a position for a Telecommute Database Administrator in Pittsburgh.

Candidates will be responsible for the following:

  • Writing scripts to automate configuration and maintenance of databases
  • Analyzing solving, and correcting issues in real time
  • Performing after hours maintenance and support release activities

Must meet the following requirements for consideration:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in CS or similar
  • 5+ years of DBA / database development experience in SQL Server, MySQL, Postgres, or AWS Aurora
  • Experience in Amazon Web Services (AWS) using EC2 and RDS databases
  • Experience with DevOps environments using configuration management systems
  • SQL development experience to write and troubleshoot stored procedures, and functions
  • Extensive experience in performance tuning, query optimization, replication techniques, clustering, authentication, partitioning and security issues in a SaaS operations environment
