Job Summary

A staffing firm has an open position for a Telecommute Database Engineer.

Core Responsibilities of this position include:

  • Proactively monitoring the database systems
  • Ensuring availability and performance of all databases
  • Providing daily production support and troubleshooting

Skills and Requirements Include:

  • Good knowledge of monitoring and tuning databases to provide high availability service
  • 1+ years of practical work experience using cloud services such as AWS
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering
  • 2+ years of experience as a hands-on database developer/administrator
  • Exposure to at least one of the databases - Oracle / MSSQL / MySQL
  • Good knowledge of database backup and recovery, export/import, tools and techniques
