Job Summary
A non-profit medical group practice has an open position for a Telecommute Denial Management Coding Analyst in Rochester.
Candidates will be responsible for the following:
- Reviewing claims for coding accuracy and root causes for coding-related denials
- Resolving queries for missing documentation and promoting departmental awareness of coding best practices
- Proposing process improvements to mitigate future denials
Qualifications for this position include:
- Ability to telecommute a couple days each week
- RHIA, RHIT, CCS or CPC certification required
- Associate’s Degree with 4+ years of physician/professional or hospital outpatient coding experience
- Or 6+ years of relevant hospital inpatient coding experience including DRG assignment
