Job Summary
A healthcare company is filling a position for a Telecommute Department of Surgery Senior Grant Writer and Editor in New York City.
Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:
- Editing highly technical documents to high standards, sometimes under tight deadlines
- Editing, writing, and coordinating grant proposals, manuscripts, and other documents related to academic research
- Identifying opportunities for peer-reviewed funding, locate suitable applicants, provide support with grant preparation
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- A minimum of a Bachelors degree
- 3 to 5 years of grant submission/project-coordination experience
- Experience in substantive editing, stylistic editing, and copy editing required
- Advanced knowledge of medical terminology; technical publishing
- Experience with grammar, syntax, and usage; new media, print, and web-based writing processes
- Proficiency in Word and bibliographic/reference management software (i.e., EndNote) required
