Job Summary
A publishing company is searching for a person to fill their position for a Telecommute Devops Engineer.
Core Responsibilities Include:
- Pro-actively addressing security, stability and scalability concerns for very high-profile, high-traffic web services
- Orchestrating and automating infrastructure/container pipelines with an eye towards Infrastructure-as-Code principles
- Maintaining, managing and and monitoring all network devices and services
Qualifications for this position include:
- 4+ years of systems and network administration experience
- 2 years minimum experience with containers, cloud-based services, or virtualized system
- Strong understanding of docker containers as it pertains to both development as well as production
- Strong understanding of virtualized environments from both a production and development standpoint
- Experience with multiple services within a cloud provider such as Amazon AWS
- Ability to script and automate job functions via BASH, PHP, Python, Perl, or Ruby
