Job Summary

A university is filling a position for a Telecommute Disaster and Crisis Response Professor.

Core Responsibilities of this position include:

  • Developing and delivering emergency management elearning courses
  • Equipping Christian believers to serve in disaster and crisis events through positions in ministry
  • Teaching courses in emergency management from the view of missional service

Position Requirements Include:

  • PhD in Public Safety or a DMin in Pastoral Care/Chaplaincy or a related field from an accredited university or seminary
  • 5 years of experience either in emergency management or in Disaster and Crisis Chaplaincy
  • Teaching experience, preferably online
  • A vibrant Christian testimony
  • Practical missions experience in his/her own country of origin or beyond
  • Demonstrate practical emergency management experience in disaster response situations within their own country or beyond
