Job Summary
An institute for higher education is seeking a Telecommute Distance Learning Librarian.
Candidates will be responsible for the following:
- Orients new remote students and faculty members to library services and collections
- Plans, develops, schedules, advertises and teaches regular webinars and online workshops
- Provides reference and research assistance to students and faculty as needed
Qualifications for this position include:
- Masters in Library and Information Science (or equivalent) from an ALA accredited program
- Two or more years of library experience
- Experience with the use of integrated library systems, cataloging, online reference, etc
- Excellent computer skills and the ability to new learn new software programs easily
- Self-directed worker with the ability to accomplish projects with little direct supervision
