Job Summary

A staffing agency needs applicants for an opening for a Telecommute Proposal Writer.

Candidates will be responsible for the following:

  • Providing comprehensive, strategic writing and editing support for general qualifications and executive summaries
  • Developing written and visual content for presentation needs outside those offered in Microsoft Word or Power Point
  • Researching and writing about comprehensive emergency management services in a way that is understandable to both technical and lay audiences

Qualifications Include:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline, e.g., English or Journalism, strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of emergency management related concepts, terminology
  • Over three (3) years’ experience in proposal writing or equivalent emergency management experience
  • Familiarity with government contracting practices, to include how proposals/bids are solicited, reviewed and scored
  • Knowledge of federal procurement and contracting rules and regulations
  • All other requirements necessary for this position
