Job Summary
A company that provides medical benefits management solutions is filling a position for a Telecommute Emergency Medicine Associate Medical Director.
Candidates will be responsible for the following:
- Providing timely expert medical review to determine medical necessity
- Reviewing appeals for denied services
- Providing timely peer-to-peer discussions with referring physicians
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- Engage in hands-on training at the company's Melbourne, FL office
- M.D. or D.O. with a current, active, U.S. state medical license
- Have at least 5 years of clinical experience (post residency/fellowship)
- Be familiar with automated processes and computer applications and systems
- Be board certified in a clinical specialty recognized by the ABMS
