Job Summary
An online school needs applicants for an opening for a Telecommute Engineering Immersion Course Teaching Assistant .
Core Responsibilities of this position include:
- Motivating and fostering best practices with students as they work to learn full-stack Javascript
- Working with Instructors, fellow TAs, Mentors, and Program Managers to provide detailed feedback on student success
- Encouraging strong problem solving and critical thinking skills through socratic teaching
Must meet the following requirements for consideration:
- Minimum of 2 years professional experience as a Software Engineer or Developer, or demonstrated expertise in using front-end technologies at an industry level
- Professional experience using either Node.JS or React.JS (and/or Angular)
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery
- Competency with Data Structures and Algorithms
- High level of empathy and people management skills
