Job Summary
Are you an experienced executive assistant who is ready to move beyond booking flights and meetings? Are you excited about the prospect of escaping the 9-5 to run your own business? This position could be the stepping stone you're looking for.
This is a $20/hour, 20 hours/week position with a flexible schedule based in Brooklyn.
There will be one full day in my office per week with the occasional in-person errand. Otherwise, you have complete freedom to work when and where works best for you.
You will be treated like a partner, not a subordinate, and thus there is no speed limit for growth from this role. There will be plenty of opportunities to increase your levels of responsibility and compensation along the way.
An Ideal Candidate:
*Takes ownership, moves a project forward without needing any oversight
*Lives in the grey, comfortable with lots of ambiguity and improvisation
*Gets passionate when discussing the pros/cons of project management tools
*Has a well-tested external system for making introductions and staying in touch
*Hyper-organized and detail-oriented, OCD doesn't begin to describe you.
*Proactive with identifying opportunities and taking decisive action
Ideally you will have a couple of years previous experience as a PA/EA, but I will happily waive this requirement for anyone who can demonstrate sufficient talent and ambition.

I am also a professional poker player and am actively working to build a supportive community for social entrepreneurship in the NYC area.

As a professional poker player, I was once ranked in the top 20 online players in the world. I spent two years visiting 50 countries on an around the world trip. I'm fortunate enough to know and collaborate with some of the most intelligent and talented humans on this planet.
Responsibilities:
Operations
*Helping plan and execute Founder's School, a productivity workshop
*Monitoring poker game quality online to identify optimal playing windows
*Finding and vetting specialists for one-time projects
*Running point on special projects as they arise
Relationship Management
*Setting up and managing a personal contact database
*Monitoring social media to identify contact check-in opportunities
*Optimizing schedule and monitoring upcoming events of interest
Research and Administrative
*Researching the industries and interests of prospective and current clients
*Identifying real-time opportunities to help propel clients through roadblocks
*Preparing for podcasts and other speaking opportunities
*Organizing digital and physical presences to streamline operations
*Compiling best practices and resources into a shareable format
