Job Summary

An environmental protection non-profit organization is in need of a Telecommute Director of Finance.

Core Responsibilities of this position include:

  • Leading and coordinating the development of the company’s annual budget
  • Directing the organization’s monthly financial and accounting operations
  • Remaining up to date on nonprofit best practices and state and federal law related to nonprofits

Applicants must meet the following qualifications:

  • Able to attend meetings
  • Minimum of five years of nonprofit financial management experience
  • Thorough knowledge of GAAP as it applies to nonprofit organizations
  • Thorough understanding of and experience in using spreadsheets, accounting software, and online payroll processing
  • Demonstrated ability to define and track deadlines, progress, and contributions of others
  • Proven ability as a leader to build and be a member of highly effective and well-functioning teams
