Job Summary
An environmental protection non-profit organization is in need of a Telecommute Director of Finance.
Core Responsibilities of this position include:
- Leading and coordinating the development of the company’s annual budget
- Directing the organization’s monthly financial and accounting operations
- Remaining up to date on nonprofit best practices and state and federal law related to nonprofits
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- Able to attend meetings
- Minimum of five years of nonprofit financial management experience
- Thorough knowledge of GAAP as it applies to nonprofit organizations
- Thorough understanding of and experience in using spreadsheets, accounting software, and online payroll processing
- Demonstrated ability to define and track deadlines, progress, and contributions of others
- Proven ability as a leader to build and be a member of highly effective and well-functioning teams
