Job Summary

A financial services company is seeking a Telecommute Financial Software Architect Technical Manager.

Core Responsibilities Include:

  • Designing and developing new services, unit tests, and automation tools
  • Working in a cross-functional team in a fast-paced DevOps environment
  • Maintaining and improving existing systems and applications with a focus on optimizing both systems and workflows

Applicants must meet the following qualifications:

  • Experience as a lead developer, making design decisions, performing code reviews and mentoring team members
  • Technical leadership as a team member in a hands-on role
  • Familiarity working in a fluid Agile environment and demonstrated success with structured testing practices
  • Experience with distributed and scalable software architectures, understanding of CAP theorem
  • Experience with communication protocols (low level TCP/UDP/IP, WebSockets, Protobufs, HTTP)
  • Familiar with scripting and automation (e.g. Bash, Powershell, Ruby, Python etc.)
