Job Summary
An industrial and commercial contractor is seeking a Telecommute Fire Protection Sprinkler Designer in Newport News.
Core Responsibilities of this position include:
- Participating in BIM 3D Modeling coordination
- Conducting field survey prior to fabrication
- Applying sound fire protection engineering principles
Position Requirements Include:
- Position will require occasional visits to construction sites
- 2 – 7 years related design experience
- Must be able to complete design projects start to finish, while working independently
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD drafting software and HydraCAD sprinkler design software
- Experience with at least one 3D CADD program and BIM
- Proven examples of large contract work awarded during career
