Job Summary
A food and agriculture consulting company has an open position for a Telecommute Food and Agriculture Consulting Sustainability Scientist.
Core Responsibilities of this position include:
- Contributing to the development and advancement of DayCent-CR
- Managing and improving crop and other model parameterizations
- Collaborating with engineers on scale issues and building code that can be deployed into production systems
Position Requirements Include:
- Masters in ecosystem science, soil science, agricultural science or a related discipline
- 1+ years of experience working in a professional environment
- Experience in one or more soil biogeochemical models (DayCent, DNDC, RothC, etc.)
- Expert in ecosystem modeling
- Familiar with geospatial analysis, modeling and software tools
- Ability to write well-documented, clean, maintainable code in a collaborative environment
