Job Summary
A global imaging solutions company is filling a position for a Telecommute Free and Open Source Software Auditor.
Must be able to:
- Prevent use of software that isn’t accompanied by a Lexmark-approved software license
- Analyze software for FOSS components and their licenses
- Manage the queue of audit requests from software development teams
Qualifications for this position include:
- Understand characteristics and usage of various programming languages and FOSS components
- Understand standard package managers such as NPM, Gradle/Maven, Ivy, etc
- Understand types of software distribution/licensing models
- Understand Conditions of Use associated with most frequently used FOSS licenses
- Understand implications of release types in licensing (Beta, PE, GA, Internal, SPR)
