We are currently seeking a Front End Web Application Developer to help us support DMA Public Web (DMA-PW), a fast and secure DoD enterprise-level hosting service provider. DMA-PW provides a wide variety of services for publicly-accessible websites and social media blogs including Web development, Web design, system engineering, network operations, security, training, and site migration.
We're looking for someone passionate about Front-End development specifically using core web application languages as well as modern front-end development tools like HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript frameworks and browser compatibility.
OMNITEC Solutions has supported this client for 13+ years. This is a long-term contract with substantial opportunity for growth and stability. The scope of this contract is an end-to-end, or "turn-key" solution, meaning all Development and Infrastructure support is provided and managed by OMNITEC Solutions.
Duties and Responsibilities
Working with a team of other Developers, you will:
Build themes and templates for our Content Management System.
Translate designs into working code.
Troubleshoot front-end coding and browser compatibility issues.
Performs other tasks as assigned.
Required Skills
Three or more years of experience as a Front End Developer (HTML5, JavaScript, CSS3 and JQuery).
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or other related field, or equivalent work experience;
Experience with responsive web development using the Bootstrap framework;
Experience with MVC, C#, or ASP.Net;
Positive attitude and strong work ethic;
US citizenship, and the ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
Additional Preferred Qualifications
A strong sense of UI/UX design and layout;
Experience working on cross-browser platforms;
Experience with Git;
Experience with CMS, preferably DNN (DotNetNuke).
Experience with Vue.js.
Experience with Agile (preferably Scrum) & Test-driven development.
Understanding of web accessibility (Section 508 and WAI) standards.
