Job Summary
NoteAffect is a new company building software that is going to have an incredible impact on education. The NoteAffect platform is solving problems and enriching the education experience for all stakeholders in education: students, instructors, and members of administration.
We are looking for a full-stack developer to join our team. You will work very closely with the partners of the company, helping to drive innovation and deliver high-quality software that solves problems and revolutionizes experiences for universities, colleges, and more.
Immediately, you will be responsible for building entirely new features at NoteAffect. You'll be working within our existing stack, the core of which is an ASP.NET Core MVC application which runs on Docker in AWS ECS, with a frontend built with TypeScript and ReactJS. You'll be building new APIs, new frontend views, background processes, and building or improving desktop software to interface with external programs and our own APIs. You'll have the opportunity to learn a great deal as we continue building our software, and you'll be a critical part of shaping our culture, building exceptional user experiences, and driving our focus on technical quality and expertise.
This is a direct, full-time role.
No third parties, no contracts.
Qualities that we're looking for:
- The ability to quickly and independently get up to speed with frameworks, languages, and existing codebases
- Adaptability to growing and shifting priorities
- A focus on developing clean, concise, high-quality software
- Comfort working with a lack of specs (but developing them as we go!)
- Desire to learn, to be challenged, and to grow professionally
Proficiency with the following:
- C#
- .NET Core
- ReactJS
- CSS/SASS
- HTML
- TypeScript/JavaScript
- ASP.NET Core MVC
Things that will make you stand out (but aren't required):
- Experience with SignalR or other real-time two-way web communication technologies
- OAuth and complex third-party integration experience
- Experience and desire to build comprehensive suites of unit testing and testable code
- Experience with CI/CD tools and integrations
- Experience working with AWS
- Experience with desktop development on Windows and/or macOS
- Experience and desire to build technical documentation
