Job Summary

A medical review company is seeking a Telecommute Gastroenterology Medical Reviewer.

Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:

• Perform utilization reviews for various types of procedures and medications from pre-authorizations to appeals
• Apply their medical knowledge and expertise
• Provide comprehensive physician review solutions to payer and provider organizations

Required Skills:

• Must type at least 30-40 words per minute - accurately
• Must be certified with ABMS (American Board of Medical Specialties) - Gastroenterology
• Must be in Active Practice (treating patients for at least 8 hours per week)
• Must have at least 5 years' experience providing care to patients in a clinical setting
• Current active and unrestricted (without sanctions) State Medical License
• Strong writing skills, computer literacy, including word processing, web applications and email
