Job Summary

An organization that empowers and unites people and communities to protect and restore rivers has a current position open for a Telecommute Great Lakes Drinking Water Program Manager.

Candidates will be responsible for the following:

  • Analyzing, understanding, sharing and leveraging support for Best Practices for Safe and Affordable Drinking Water
  • Researching and understanding existing tools for safe and clean water
  • Participating and leading meetings, calls, and working groups across the region

Skills and Requirements Include:

  • Ability to travel through the Great Lakes region 4-5 days per month and attend the conference and 1-2 staff retreats
  • Positive, self-motivated, strategic thinker and quick learner with an upbeat attitude
  • Experience in the Great Lakes region and/or experience with coalition leadership and/or advocacy or civic engagement
  • Experience and working knowledge of strategies to protect and restore rivers and other waters
  • Experience working with a diversity of stakeholders and community groups and skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, group facilitation skills, interpersonal skills, etc.
