Job Summary

A health insurance company needs applicants for an opening for a Telecommute Group Life and Disability Senior Underwriter.

Must be able to:

  • Analyze Group Life, Disability plan characteristics and assess risks
  • Utilize established underwriting criteria and policies to provide proper rating methodologies
  • Represent and negotiate rates and plan options with insurers

Applicants must meet the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Math, Finance, Business or related experience
  • 2+ years of experience underwriting Group Life, Disability and Supplemental Health products
  • Proficient Product Knowledge, including product and contract provisions, plan designs, pricing
  • Intermediate level of proficiency with MS Office suite
