Job Summary

An information technology company is filling a position for a Telecommute Hadoop Administrator.

Candidates will be responsible for the following:

  • Being responsible for performing tasks in adherence with the Operations and Maintenance Manual
  • Updating the manual as necessary
  • Configuring, operating, maintaining, reporting on, and achieving optimal utilization of the Hadoop Data Platform

Position Requirements Include:

  • Minimum of 9 years of related experience
  • Experience with managing big data environments using the Hortworks Hadoop Data Platform (HDP)
  • Experience integrating HDP with Kerberos authentication
  • Experience with back up techniques for maintaining data integrity of the HDFS files HIVE data
  • Experience briefing teams in a formal setting, and demonstrating portal applications as needed
  • Experience maintaining client deliverables (such as the User Manual and planning documents)
