Job Summary

A healthcare company has a current position open for a Telecommute Health Information Specialist.

Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:

• Read and interpret health record documentation to identify all diagnoses and procedures
• Identify health issues that require immediate attention
• Comply with timely completion requirements of examination reviews for a wide range of health records

Qualifications Include:

• An education level of at least a high school diploma or GED
• 2 years of post-secondary education in a medical program OR 2 years’ experience in a medical field
• Equivalent combination of education, experience and/or applicable military experience will be considered
• Basic proficiency with MS Word, MS Excel, and United States Citizenship
• Ability to obtain favorable adjudication following submission of Defense Health Agency eQuip Form SF86
• Ability to obtain the CAC (Common Access Card) Ability to obtain the DEE (Defense Enterprise Email)
