Job Summary

A behavioral healthcare company has an open position for a Telecommute Healthcare Counsel.

Core Responsibilities Include:

• Creainge and implementing legal processes and service level agreements for our legal department
• Providing legal counsel on operational, risk, transactional, and strategic matters
• Developing and maintaining legal resources such as a legal playbook and FAQs for various teams

Required Skills:

• JD law degree from an accredited U.S. Law School and a member of a US state bar in good standing
• Ability to register as In-house Counsel in NY or waive into New York State.
• Have at least 6 years’ experience in health law, compliance, or regulatory working in a health industry
• Experience with both federal and state healthcare regulatory and compliance issues
• Able to provide practical advice by weighing legal risk against business needs and realities
