Job Summary
A non-profit healthcare system is searching for a person to fill their position for a Telecommute Healthcare Prior Authorization Financial Clearance Representative.
Core Responsibilities of this position include:
- Confirming that a patient’s health insurance(s) is active and covers the patient’s procedure
- Reviewing and analyzing patient visit information to determine whether authorization is needed
- Ensuring that initial and all subsequent authorizations are obtained in a timely manner
Qualifications for this position include:
- High School or GED
- Ability to confirm that a patient’s health insurance(s) is active and covers the patient’s procedure
- Ability to review and analyze patient visit information to determine whether authorization is needed
- Ability to ensure that initial and all subsequent authorizations are obtained in a timely manner
- Ability to mentor less experienced team members
- Ability to educate patients of pertinent policies
