Job Summary
A staffing firm is searching for a person to fill their position for a Telecommute High Performance Computing Engineer in Chicago.
Candidates will be responsible for the following:
- Designing, deploying and supporting High-Performance compute and storage resources
- Monitoring and troubleshooting cluster performance issues
- Assisting developers in adapting code for use in a cluster environment
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- 5+ years’ experience in Linux Administration/Engineering
- Bachelor’s Degree from a 4-year university or comparable work experience
- Experience performance tuning Linux operating systems
- Solid knowledge of scripting languages (Bash, Python, Perl, Ruby)
- Experience administering HPC scheduling systems (Hadoop, LSF, SLURM, Mesos, etc)
- Fundamental knowledge of technologies across virtualization, storage, networking and security
