Job Summary
An online school is searching for a person to fill their position for a Telecommute High School Math Teacher.
Candidates will be responsible for the following:
- Prepares students for high stakes standardized tests
- Takes ownership for students’ academic progress and attendance
- Conducts live synchronous teaching – minimum of 15 hours per week
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- Ability to travel as required (on average once per month and/or approximately 10% of the time)
- Candidate must live in Virginia or directly on the border
- Candidate must be certified to teach this subject in the state of Virginia specifically
- Bachelor's degree AND
- Six (6) months of student teaching experience AND
- Meet requirements for Highly Qualified Teacher (HQT) in subject area under No Child Left Behind (NCLB)
