Job Summary

A staffing company is filling a position for a Telecommute HIM Outpatient Ambulatory Coder in Oakland.

Candidates will be responsible for the following:

• Applying appropriate ICD-10 and CPT-4 codes for billing, internal and external reporting, research, and regulatory compliance activities
• Coding and abstracting all record types including Ancillary, ER, Observation, Outpatient Surgery, and some Inpatient
• Reviewing clinical documentation and diagnostic results

Must meet the following requirements for consideration:

• You will be required to take a remote coding proficiency test
• CCS, RHIT, or RHIA certification through AHIMA required
• 1 years facility based Outpatient Coding experience with some Inpatient
