Job Summary
A healthcare company is in need of a Telecommute HIM Outpatient Coding Consultant in Indianapolis.
Core Responsibilities Include:
- Abstracting and entering the coded data for hospital statistical and reporting requirements
- Maintaining 95% coding accuracy rate and 95% accuracy rate for APC assignment
- Reviewing medical records and assigning accurate codes for diagnoses and procedures
Position Requirements Include:
- Willing and able to travel when necessary if applicable
- 1-5 years of coding experience in a hospital and/or coding consulting role
- Associate or Bachelor degree from AHIMA certified HIM Program or Nursing Program or completion of certificate program
- Must be able to communicate effectively in the English language
- Experience in computerized encoding and abstracting software
