Job Summary

A staffing firm has a current position open for a Telecommute Hospital Coder in Pasadena.

Candidates will be responsible for the following:

  • Reviewing medical records to identify diagnoses/procedures
  • Coding all diagnostic and operative information from the medical record
  • Participating in quality improvement for coding, abstracting, and/or APC assignments

Applicants must meet the following qualifications:

  • AHIMA certification: CCS, RHIT, or RHIA
  • Experience with outpatient and same day surgery (SDS) coding
  • Ability to adhere to all coding guidelines and policies
