A healthcare services company needs applicants for an opening for a Telecommute Inpatient Coder Specialist.

Core Responsibilities of this position include:

  • Reviewing the entire medical record for the assignment of diagnosis and procedure codes
  • Abstracting specified data from the medical record

Qualifications Include:

  • High School graduate or equivalent
  • Previous ICD-9-CM/ICD-10 and CPT coding experience
  • Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) and/or Certified Coding Specialist (CCS)
  • Familiar with regulations regarding coding, compliance, and DRG/APC assignment
