Job Summary

A healthcare company is filling a position for a Telecommute Inpatient DRG Coding Specialist in Baltimore.

Candidates will be responsible for the following:

• Reviewing record for completeness, accuracy and compliance with documentation standards
• Assigning deficiency code to deficient record and identifying responsible physician
• Abstracting data from the medical record through intensive medical record review

Required Skills:

• High School Degree or equivalent
• One year ICD-9-CM coding and abstracting experience in an acute care environment
• Current accreditation by the AMRA as RHIT/RHIA, CCS, CCS-P or CPC
