Job Summary

An insurance agency is filling a position for a Telecommute Intake Coordinator I.

Core Responsibilities Include:

  • Provide customer service and clinical support services to members and providers requesting pre-certification and/or case management services
  • Coordinate requests with Registered Nurses efficiently and effectively and delivers Medical Management services to our members
  • Answer incoming telephone calls and initiate precertification/case management requests from providers/members

Must meet the following requirements for consideration:

  • High school degree or equivalent
  • Minimum of one year of customer service experience
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, utilization management or a related medical field background preferred
  • Team and goal oriented
  • Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with internal and external customers
  • Exceptional interpersonal and problem solving skills
