Job Summary

A healthcare company is searching for a person to fill their position for a Telecommute IP Coder.

Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:

• Assigning diagnostic and procedural codes to patient charts of moderate to high complexity
• Reviewing medical records to determine accurate required abstracting elements
• Meeting and/or exceeding Conifer’s coding productivity guidelines

Applicants must meet the following qualifications:

• Must be able to travel nationally as needed, not to exceed 10%
• One to three years’ experience performing medical record coding in an acute care setting
• High school graduate or equivalent
• AHIMA or AAPC approved credential
• Knowledge of MS-DRG classification and reimbursement structures
• Proficient at writing AHIMA complaint physician queries
