Job Summary

A custom software engineering firm has a current position open for a Telecommute Java and Ruby Senior Software Engineer in Boston.

Core Responsibilities Include:

  • Working in a distributed environment with team members in multiple time zones
  • Owning changes to be made from definition to support in production
  • Performing functional, unit, integration, and performance testing

Must meet the following requirements for consideration:

  • Remote 2-3 days per week
  • Experienced in consuming and creating Application Programming Interfaces (API)
  • Shipped robust, high-performance, scalable applications to production
  • Experience with web services written in JVM languages (Java, Groovy, Kotlin) and Ruby
  • Experiences with databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, Oracle)
  • Experience developing software interfaces through collaboration with other developers
