Job Summary

A technology company is searching for a person to fill their position for a Telecommute Java Support Engineer.

Candidates will be responsible for the following:

  • Researching, identifying, reproducing and documenting bugs
  • Working with customers and the community to diagnose development and operational issues
  • Writing blog posts, speaking at user groups/conferences, helping with benchmarks, and other project work

Applicants must meet the following qualifications:

  • Ability to travel, meet, and work with some of the brightest minds in cloud and distributed computing
  • Experience with Java core, multithreading/concurrency, and network programming
  • Ability to troubleshoot and tune for performance (e.g. TCP/IP, Multicast, JVM Garbage Collection)
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas with simplicity and clarity
