Job Summary

A nonprofit organizaition is in need of a Telecommute Journalism Editor Consultant.

Candidates will be responsible for the following:

  • Coaching and editing of journalists’ investigations
  • Giving timely and relevant feedback on story ideas
  • Providing detailed guidance on next steps to journalists

Must meet the following requirements for consideration:

  • Willingness to travel within the Americas for training
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited academic institution; or the equivalent of 1-3 years of work experience as a journalist or editor
  • Fluency in Spanish
  • Ability to work independently
  • Experience working with a diverse, multicultural staff
  • Proficiency in MS Office (especially MS Word and MS Excel)
