Job Summary

An organization of radio, television, and online news members is filling a position for a Telecommute Journalism Education and Events Director.

Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:

  • Build a curriculum for key educational initiatives
  • Work with staff and volunteers to determine the best content delivery method
  • Recruit, coach and manage topical experts

Required Skills:

  • Travel for events and staff in-person meetings
  • 2 years of experience in event planning/event management
  • Experience in design, development, and delivery of professional and leadership development programs
  • Experience collaborating with colleagues, volunteer committees and subject matter experts
  • Technology proficiency is necessary, including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Experience working with hotels or event centers, vendors and others
