Job Summary
An organization of radio, television, and online news members is filling a position for a Telecommute Journalism Education and Events Director.
Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:
- Build a curriculum for key educational initiatives
- Work with staff and volunteers to determine the best content delivery method
- Recruit, coach and manage topical experts
Required Skills:
- Travel for events and staff in-person meetings
- 2 years of experience in event planning/event management
- Experience in design, development, and delivery of professional and leadership development programs
- Experience collaborating with colleagues, volunteer committees and subject matter experts
- Technology proficiency is necessary, including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
- Experience working with hotels or event centers, vendors and others
