Job Summary
A public research university is seeking a Telecommute Journalism Instructor in Newark.
Candidates will be responsible for the following:
- Teaching journalism surveys, workshops, or upper-level courses focused on specific themes or topics
- Covering the full range of duties associated with teaching, including, but not limited to, preparing course material; creating and posting a course syllabus
- Presenting material during the assigned course times
Must meet the following requirements for consideration:
- Ability to provide a Cover Letter outlining your teaching philosophy
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Demonstrated excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to teach at the university level; preferred
- Ability to hold office hours and providing appropriate out-of-class time for students
- Ability to conduct and grade assessments of students through assignments, exams, and other means, in a timely manner
