Job Summary
A nonprofit organization needs applicants for an opening for a Telecommute Junior Data Scientist.
Candidates will be responsible for the following:
- Building and refining predictive models to help understand what factors most drive instructional change
- Extracting, cleaning and analyzing large volumes of assessment, product usage, and other data
- Analyzing the impact of specific product / service offerings on school and student outcomes
Must meet the following requirements for consideration:
- 2-3 years direct experience building and deploying predictive models
- Have experience extracting, cleaning and analyzing data sets with multiple millions of rows
- Demonstrated the ability to create intuitive visualizations and dashboards that drive action
- Experience researching and resolving data and analytic issues with a systematic problem-solving mentality
- Careful planning, time management, detail orientation, and prioritization skills
- Passionate commitment to and a sense of urgency for the support of schools
