Job Summary
The nation's leading cancer advocacy organization has an open position for a Telecommuting Lead Advocacy Coordinator.
Core Responsibilities of this position include:
- Serve as the regional point of contact and initial resource for staff questions on: operations and finance issues (including liaison to Talent Strategies and contracts), data management, iTravel/iMeetings, eTime, and lobbyist registration/reporting
- Serve as national finance and operation departments point person in the region for all of the above, as well as for coordination with any other administrative staff in the region
- Handle logistics (site, catering, invitations, registration, etc.) for events, which may include state lobby days, fundraisers, and volunteer trainings
Skills and Requirements Include:
- Associates or bachelors degree (bachelors degree preferred), or equivalent work experience
- At least five years of operations and/or project management and/or high level administrative experience
- Ability to work independently with minimum direction
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with diverse individuals and communities
